Thank you for addressing veteran injuries. Haze is doing a great job protecting Leighton. It's about to get real. I really want to break Ricky's nose with a head but and smack Paris. You make the characters come alive. Oh boy wherever go.....

I can't wait to read part 2 and see if they tell each other that they can't forget that one night they shared together. To find the one that leaves that magic and you can't for get his touch and his body and the way he made you feel
One of the worst books i have ever read. A lot of shallow characters that use sex and drugs to get by. Ricky is a jerk, Paris is jealous, Leighton is lost and Hayes is damaged. Not much depth to the charts and as slow as molasses to get to point. I bet either Ricky or Paris is behind the kidnapping in Book 3. Money talks. Maybe Leighton will have her life kind of figured out and her legs a little less open for business.
Leighton, was a spoiled, self indulged, brat...who had no concept of morals, self respect or self worth. Leighton's, parents died when she was young, leaving her and her younger brother wards of her mother's father. Raised by her grandfather, she chose to be a toxic entity on society.
Haze, raised by both parents and a host of brothers and sisters always new what he wanted out of life. He, like his older brothers and younger, father and grandfather, would be a career military man, until one night while on a mission his troop came upon hostile fire. Haze, saved many lives that night, but wound up injured, which cost him his career. Torn about what to do with his life next he decided to go into personal security.
another free book that ends in a cliffhanger. You have to purchase the next two books for the end of the story. Sex scene were not necessary. Female main character is a immature spoiled brat. She was old enough when her parents died to learn morals and some class but seems she turned into a spoiled adulthood idiot while living with her grandfather. A grandfather that started out with nothing and making his millions who probably had great values that would not let his grandchildren act the way she did.
This is the first book in MS Parker's Hero series. And what a first book it is. Leighton and Haze first meet when he saves her from drowning and takes care of her for the night. What starts as a simple act of a good Samaritan watching his charge turns into a heated night of passion. With neither one willing to admit how the night had effected them, they both walk away. Leighton to her rich LA lifestyle and Haze to the military to serve with his Special Forces team.
A horrific accident takes Haze out of action and lands him back in LA as Leighton's bodyguard. These are the two most stubborn characters you will ever meet. It's the tension and slow build that will keep you reading. It will keep you wanting more.
Haze has known he would be military all the men in his family are. He is Special Forces and on an 18 month tour when he is injured saving another soldiers life. Due to his injuries he is not able to return to active duty. Knowing he won't be content riding a desk he takes a job in LA as a bodyguard for Leighton, hired by her Grandfather. Until they come face to face neither realize they have met once before. Haze is going to use the job to prove he is healed and can return to duty. Leighton sets out to party and live it up despite her shadow.
Haze is broody but oh so sexy. Leighton is definitely a spoiled little rich girl with friends who are even worse. I absolutely hated that she was always letting the boyfriends "indiscretions" slide. The open relationship was very one sided. I am hoping in the next book we will see some maturity start to develop. This was an easy read that kept my attention right to the last page. Can't wait to start the next in the series.
